Signal gate valves are often used in automatic sprinkler fire protection pipeline systems to monitor water supply pipelines and can indicate valve opening remotely.
Rising stem gate valves and attached opening indicator gate valves are also commonly used in fire protection systems. If the gate valve is installed at a higher ground position, the rising stem gate valve is generally used to clearly indicate the valve opening. If the installation position is lower, the valve opening can be clearly indicated. Then a gate valve with an attached opening indicator is required.
