The manual emergency drain valve is installed on pipelines and containers such as steam turbine drainage, feed water drainage, heater drainage, boiler drainage, super heater drainage, air exhaust, water-cooled wall lower header drainage, and package wall drainage, serving as an opening and closing device. This series of valves changes the structural form of traditional globe valves and adopts a high-pressure differential throttling sleeve structure. It has the characteristics of strong erosion resistance, easy operation, long service life, removable valve components, and low maintenance costs.

Structural characteristics of anti erosion globe valves:

  1. When high-pressure medium enters the valve, it first releases pressure energy and noise by fully reducing pressure in the valve cage, so that the fluid will not erode the sealing surface of the valve core and valve seat, thereby playing a role in avoiding flushing. By moving the valve disc up and down, the flow rate of the valve can be adjusted arbitrarily, with adjustability.
  2. The main components with high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, and erosion resistance are made of high-quality steel, and the sealing parts of the valve core and valve seat are processed using a special welding process of Stellite alloy steel. The advantages of tightly closing the valve without leakage, flexible opening without jamming etc.
  3. The valve seat and valve disc adopt a flexible structure, which can adjust the problems such as scratches and leaks caused by the non concentricity of the valve stem during the manufacturing process.
  4. The surface of the valve stem is treated with corrosion-resistant nitriding, which has good rigidity, wear resistance, and scratch resistance.
  5. The valve body made of high-quality forgings and treated with solid fusion ensures no internal or external cracks. The forgings comply with the provisions of JB9626-1999.
  6. The cobalt based hard alloy overlay welding on the seat of the corrosion-resistant globe valve greatly improves the high-temperature hardness and resistance to medium erosion.
  7. The valve disc adopts imported cobalt chromium tungsten steel balls, which have high high-temperature hardness, making its resistance to medium erosion much better than ordinary needle valves.
  8. The forged valve stem has a slightly different flexibility and strength. The thread processed by rolling is located on top of the packing, avoiding contact with the medium. The polished part of the stem is finely ground, which not only tightly contacts the packing to ensure no leakage, but also reduces the opening torque, making the valve flexible and easy to open and close.
  9. The uniquely designed mid mouth metal sealing gasket undergoes special process tempering treatment to ensure good sealing under high temperature and pressure.
  10. The flexible graphite filler with excellent density ensures no external leakage under high temperature and pressure.

Application of anti erosion globe valve:
Manual emergency drain valves are mainly installed on water and steam pipelines as opening and closing devices (such as steam turbines, boiler drainage valves, regular boiler discharge valves, and main desuperheating water valves). In the drainage water system of thermal power plants, most of them are domestic ordinary valves or imported valves. Due to the structure of such valves, the valve core and valve seat are subject to long-term erosion by high temperature and high pressure fluids, and wear and tear is extremely fast, resulting in lax valve closure, This leads to the problem of internal leakage in the valves of the drainage system.
